Our Dog Breeds and Why We Use Them

Poodle

An extremely bright and intelligent breed. Completely non-shedding.

Our Poodles are all registered with the American Kennel Club. We offer four sizes:

  • The largest poodle is the standard poodle. Our standard poodles are generally 23 to 27 inches at the shoulder and weigh between 45 and 70 pounds.
  • The moyen, or medium, poodle is very popular outside of the U.S. but is uncommon here in the states. Our moyen poodles are usually between 17 and 21 inches at the shoulder and between 20 and 35 pounds.
  • Our  miniature poodles are between 10 and 15 inches at the shoulder and between 10 and 15 pounds.
  • Our toys are under 10 inches and under 10 pounds.

Our standard and moyen poodles are from hunting and working lines and make excellent service dogs and therapy dogs. They are good-natured, tolerant, quiet, and dignified.

Our miniature and toy poodles are more animated and excel in settings when paired with professionals as part of the therapist’s individualized treatment plans for patients and clients.

Yorkie/Poodle Cross

A quiet, sweet-natured and tolerant breed. Intelligent and gentle. Non-shedding.

Our Yorkie/poodle crosses are generally 5 to 10 pounds, non-shedding and adapt to many settings. Our Yorkie/poodle cross bred dogs are ideal in private practice with professional counselors. They also do well in nursing home and rehab settings. They love everyone and are naturally obedient.

Goldendoodle

A very bright breed, very trainable and with a loving, kind and tolerant disposition.

Our goldendoodles are available in three sizes. Standard, (50 to 75 pounds), Medium, 35 to 50 pounds, and Miniature, (under 35 pounds). They are either completely non-shedding or shed very little depending on the parents (we can guide you as to shedding propensity). Our goldendoodles are extremely tolerant, loving and quiet. They are the perfect choice for residential settings such as nursing homes and are an excellent choice for support dogs in trauma centers, as courtroom support for victim’s advocacy and as grief therapy dogs at funeral homes.

Olde French Bulldogge

The Olde French Bulldogge should not be confused with the much more common French Bulldog. The Olde French is a very trainable, quiet, and non-reactive dog possessing great tolerance for children, chaos, and unstable environments.

Our Olde French Bulldogges are registered with the World Bulldogge Alliance. They are working bulldogges and are not bred for dog shows with the ridiculous over-done characteristic required of the show dog. Our bulldogges are healthy dogs that breathe and breed naturally. They have more muzzle length than the AKC French Bulldog and are very quiet, tolerant and trainable. Although they do shed, they have only one layer of hair with no undercoat making shedding minimal. The Olde French Bulldogge come in two varieties: the petite (25 to 35 pounds) and the Grande (40 to 50 pounds).

The Olde French Bulldogge is an excellent choice for individuals suffering from post traumatic stress and needing an easily trained, non-reactive support dog.
