The first step is to contact us.
We will ask many questions. We want to make sure that not only is one of our puppies or dogs a good fit for your needs, but also that our puppy or dog will be in good hands once it becomes your partner.

We want only the best for our dogs.
During the phone interview we can talk about your needs and what we can do for you.
- Do you want a puppy that you can train yourself?
- Do you want an already started puppy?
- Or a trained young dog?
- What exactly do you want the dog to be able to do for you?
- What is your budget?
- Is everyone who will be involved with the dog on board?
- Are there people sharing office space/work space/ at home who don’t like dogs?
- Is there any potential backlash for bringing a dog into the work environment?
- Anyone with allergies? (Although our dogs are low or no shedding, they can still trigger allergies in severely allergic individuals.)
- Are there people in the work environment who may have a cultural bias against dogs? (Some middle Eastern countries see dogs as “unclean,” ) or are afraid of dogs?
These are all considerations to be clear on before seriously looking at adding a canine therapy partner to the environment.
Once it is established that a dog will be a good fit in the workplace and everyone involved is open to the idea, then we can talk about breed, age, training, etc.
Looking at “Available Dogs and Puppies” the prospective adopter will again be asked many questions.

When it is determined that we have a suitable match, the buyer places a deposit on the puppy or on a litter to be born. This small deposit ($200) is to show good faith and is not refundable unless we are unable to provide a suitable puppy or dog in a reasonable amount of time.
In other words – if you are in need of an Olde French Bulldogge (which we typically breed only one litter a year) and you have the sixth deposit on a litter that only produces five puppies then you can either get a refund on your deposit or you can put the deposit toward another litter. If you simply change your mind on acquiring a puppy the deposit is non-refundable.
If you have chosen a puppy to train yourself then you may take your puppy home as soon as it is ready (8 to 9 weeks for most of our puppies, 9 to 10 weeks for our tiniest breeds).
If you have chosen a puppy to be started (a “Started Puppy”), we will keep the puppy here until we think it is ready to go home and we will coach you on it’s training and how to keep the puppy’s education going.

If necessary, we will accompany the puppy to it’s destination in the continental United States, and coach you on the puppy’s continuing education. All travel and hotel expenses are the responsibility of the puppy buyer.
For a fully trained young dog, the initial travel and training expenses including the two to four days at your place of business or home is included in the cost of the trained dog.
In all cases where travel is involved the deposit on the puppy or dog is at least the amount of the travel expenses. As an example, in a recent sale of a trained young dog that was to become a resident grief therapy dog at a funeral home, the deposit on the puppy was $100. After we had trained the puppy the deposit required went up to $980. This covered the airfare. The balance was paid when the puppy was delivered and the training was approved.
We are always willing to guide new puppy adopters toward the right puppy. You may come visit and pick (with our help) the puppy you wish, or you may leave the entire job of picking the right puppy up to us.
We do reserve the right to refuse to sell a dog or puppy to someone whom we feel may not give the puppy an adequate home. In this case, if a deposit has already been tendered we will return the deposit.
